Couldn’t find an answer to your question in the FAQ? Take some time and view the tutorial videos. (Link opens new window.)
Yes. =;) We use the state-of-the-art Flowplayer control (Flash-based) most of the time, but if we see that someone is viewing your videos using an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad, we automatically switch to an HTML5-based video player.
How high can you count? Yeah, that many. Okay, if you get up into the high hundreds or thousands I might blink, but do you want to create dozens or even hundreds of video web pages? Go for it.
Yes, because I'm using Amazon's big iron. The videos are stored with the S3 service and are delivered using Amazon's Content Delivery Network, called CloudFront. That means your videos are automatically distributed to special servers across the globe and when someone wants to watch one, it's delivered using the closest server for the best service. You don't need an Amazon account, we handle all that.
No. If it's adult-oriented (porn, sex devices, etc.) you'll need to use another service. Also, don't use IVWP for stupid stuff like animal abuse, bomb making, racist things, graphic or gratuitous violence, videos of dead bodies, etc. (You know, it's sad that I even have to write up a list like this.) As far as copyright issues go, only use videos that you made or that you are authorized to use.
In general, IVWP is for marketing-type uses.
I highly recommend Aweber for your autoresponder needs, but you don't have to have an autoresponder account to use the built-in opt-in form in IVWP. You can have leads sent direct to you via email, which means you can set up an opt-in form and start generating leads immediately.
The system is designed for non-technical users so you don't need to know HTML. If you do, that's cool -- I give you a way to go "under the hood" in the templates and tweak whatever you want, but you don't have to do that.
Want to see how easy it is to create an opt-in form that will collect names and email addresses and even validate the email address? Just type this into your page: [optin] -- that's it! When IVWP serves up your video page it will pull that out and drop in a complete opt-in form.
You can do things like set the video player to automatically start as soon as the page loads. Just click a checkbox to turn on that feature. Or choose to have the player controls always show, hide when they're not in use, or never show. Just choose one of those options to set that feature. Everything is quick and easy.
Let me tell you a little bit about the Instant Video Web Pages infrastructure...
We have a fully managed dedicated server in a state-of-the-art data center with backup power generators and HVAC units. There are IT people on site 24/7 in case I need them for something.
The network the server is connected to has a gigabit uplink with a guaranteed 20mbit connection and is a fully redundant network with no single point of failure.
Video storage is handled by Amazon's S3 service -- the same highly scalable, reliable, fast, data storage infrastructure that Amazon uses to run its own global network of web sites.
Video delivery is managed with a content delivery network that gives us the ability to distribute content to end users with low latency, high data transfer speeds. Amazon's CloudFront delivers your video content using a global network of servers. Requests for your video are automatically routed to the nearest server, so content is delivered with the best possible performance.
With all of that, how can we possibly charge so little? Because we only had to figure out how to make it all work together one time -- and now we can leverage our work with multiple customers.
